  Woman's cummerbun
return to art listing Starting off in the hot shop Jeremie gathered a blob of glass, blew a bubble, shaped it into a cylinder and stretched the glass into a long tube, the diameter of a pencil. She then cut this tube into hundreds of pieces, making small beads. She then fire polished both ends to make them soft and wove them into a stretchy cummerbund. It is one of the more comfortable garments to wear. The shirt is made of spun silk taffeta and the pants are tussah broadcloth.
