  Yellow Incalmo Platter
return to art listing An incalmo is simply the joining of two bubbles. In the platter here one bubble was solid yellow and the other had twisty cane. She then opened the ends of the bubbles and joined them with exact precision of the diameter and thickness of the glass. This is a very involved process that takes time, patience and persistance. This technique was first done by the Venetians.
