Explore your understanding of hot molten glass by taking one of our glass blowing classes!
Our glass blowing classes offer a quick & fun hands on opportunity to create a form of your choice. No glass blowing experience is required. All classes begin with a demonstration from the instructor providing ideas for your own creation! These prices reflect our Saturday lessons.
The Solid Hands on Experience
Paperweight $60 Play with molten glass, tools & color to create your own paperweight! This class teaches you how to melt a random assortment of colored shards of glass, trap bubbles, and twist the glass into a beautiful timeless paperweight.
Note: Individual color selection is not an option for this class. Participants will pick up a random assortment of colored shards that will vary from one class to another.
Sun Catcher $75
This ever popular class teaches you how to roll into color, heat, flatten, and twist the glass into a functional sun catcher, ceiling pull chain or pendant. Each participant makes 2 sun catchers in this class.
Make your own bird! Our instructors will guide your development and confidence as you learn how to roll into color, heat the glass, create a whimsical pattern by twisting, pulling and poking the hot glass.
Sculpt molten glass to create your own fish! Using your choice of color, learn how to transform the molten glass by pinching, pulling and crimping. Bring out your childhood fantasies in this gaining popular class!
Blown Hands on Experience
Smooch Bowl $65 per person
Learn how to roll into color, blow a bubble and then suck the air out to create a double walled bowl! This class shows how glass can change shape very fast. This was a St. Valentine favorite project in 2018.
Ornaments $95 This class shows clear examples of the blown side of glass. Learn how to roll into color, heat and expand the glass with the breath of your air. Each participant makes 2 ornaments.
Create your own blown pumpkin to treasure, display and talk about for years. Learn how to roll into color, heat, pinch & paddle the glass to create your pumpkin. Watch it grow with the breath of your air! The pumpkin is finished by topping it off with a curly stem.
Flower Vase $150
This is our “opened bubble” class where you learn how to roll into color, heat, shape, blow and expand the glass bubble with your breath. Using gravity, centrifugal force and the jacks (the glassblower’s favorite tool), elongate the bubble into a vase or drinking vessel of your choice.

Fruit Bowl or Platter $150 per person
Blow a huge bubble with us and turn it into something magical! Our instructors will guide your development and confidence as you learn how to roll into color, heat the glass and use the jacks (the glassblower’s favorite tool) to open your bubble. Then adding more heat & centripetal force, watch the magic happen as you spin the bubble open into a fruit bowl (bowling ball size) or platter (12” diameter).
Private Events. We also offer seasonal workshops, group & family outings, birthday parties, date night & anniversaries, wedding parties, field trips, private lessons and team building workshops. Let us customize a package for you.
The following classes allow the student to handle hot glass more independently:
A Bit Closer—two week class $250
This is an introduction to glass blowing techniques and the glass blowers tools. Students will gather, shape and blow glass bubbles to make basic forms. A drinking vessel and flower vase is an example of what a student could make. Four hour class meets for two weeks, two hours per session. Prerequisite to take this class is one class from the Solid & Blown Hands on experiences. 4 people maximum.
The Gather—four week class $475
Students explore more complicated techniques and learn to work more independently. Learn how to create additional features to your forms such as handles or decorative bits. Eight-hour class meets for four weeks, two hours per session. Prerequisite to take this class is one class of each from the Solid & Blown Hands on experiences and A bit closer- two week class. 4 people maximum.
